01. Long-Term Digital Preservation Mission
Scientific progress depends on the unalterable permanence of published literature. Frontier Journal of Multidisciplinary Research and Innovation takes proactive technical steps to guarantee that all published volumes, articles, metadata records, and supplementary datasets remain accessible to future generations of researchers, independent of any commercial, technical, or server disruptions.
02. Open Scientific Repository Archiving (Zenodo / CERN)
FJMRI archives published articles within Zenodo, the open science research repository operated by CERN and supported by the European Commission:
Global Open Access Infrastructure
Articles and full-text PDFs are deposited in CERN's high-reliability data center infrastructure with multiple redundant backups.
Permanent Versioning & Checksums
Each deposit generates immutable version records and MD5 cryptographic checksums guaranteeing file authenticity and zero data loss.
03. Digital Preservation Planning & Redundancy
To ensure comprehensive preservation across the scholarly lifecycle:
- Digital Preservation Framework in Planning: FJMRI is actively establishing long-term dark preservation integration with recognized digital archiving networks to accompany its inaugural volumes.
- Internet Archive Scholar: Automated indexing and web preservation ensure published article pages and PDFs are recorded in the Internet Archive.
- Automated Local & Offsite Backups: Real-time encrypted database snapshots and media object backups are maintained across geographically separated cloud infrastructure.
04. Persistent Digital Object Identifier (DOI) Guarantee
Every published article in FJMRI is assigned a permanent, citable DOI registered via Zenodo / DataCite in the global scholarly citation network:
https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.xxxxxxx) will perpetually resolve directly to the authoritative Version of Record.
05. Repository Self-Archiving Policy (Green OA)
Authors retain full copyright and are granted unrestricted rights to self-archive their work to ensure maximum distributed redundancy:
- Institutional Repositories: Authors may immediately deposit the publisher's final formatted PDF into their university or research institute repository with zero embargo.
- Subject Repositories: Authors may upload copies to discipline-specific preprint servers and repositories (e.g., arXiv, bioRxiv, Zenodo, SSRN) with attribution to FJMRI.
06. Business Continuity & Trigger Event Access
In the event that FJMRI ceases publication operations or suffers platform transitions, the open repository deposits at Zenodo/CERN and open-access licensing ensure that all published research remains freely, publicly accessible in perpetuity.
